The authors refer to the singular, which transmits the generic or specific community, and represents the subject in its entirety, relying on the General characteristics, properties and quality; specific examples are considered forms of number, which, depending on the specific conditions of the context and the words rethink can get unusual use. It is also noted that grammatical meaning of the noun in the singular in the Kumyk language is defined in the context. Turning to the use of the singular with generalized generic value in the investigated languages, the author also indicates that they are used to denote abstract categories, classes of objects, the relevant generic and species concepts, or expression of the subject at all; also comes to the conclusion that in the Kumyk language of material nouns are names of liquids, gases, metals, various materials and other objects of reality - measurable, but not account, and is usually used in the singular. By analyzing the characteristics of the functioning of the category of singular abstract, material and other nouns in the Kumyk and English languages, the author comes to the conclusion that the modern Kumyk language peculiar formation on the basis of the derivative relations of a relational, correlative nouns with the quantitative value of number forms." @default.
