- W2473396549 abstract "By using numerical computations the erosion in the blast-furnace hearth is quantified based on the results of flow computations. The mathematical model describes the carbon concentration in the whole hearth also within the coke zone. For the description of the carbon dissolution from the refractory an experimental relationship was taken. Good agreement between the numerical predicted wear-line profile and the actual wear line in the hearth was achieved. The mushrooming process was explained and verified. As already expected from the flow results the ring-shaped channel flow is mainly responsible for the high erosion rate. This situation occurs while the dead man is sitting at the bottom. An increase of the furnace production implies a significant increase of the erosion rate. Otherwise, an increase of the permeability of the dead man and the coke zone decreases the mushrooming process. Altogether the developed model makes it possible to investigate the erosion process in the hearth for different operating situations and to predict these situations which cause the high erosion rate. Furthermore, the study of new hearth geometries and changed cooling parameters etc. can be performed. Auf der Basis von Strömungsberechnungen wird der Verschleiß im Hochofengestell durch numerische Berechnungen quantifiziert. Dazu wird die Kohlenstoffkonzentration im gesamten Gestellbereich berechnet. Die Kohlenstoffauslösung aus der Gestellausmauerung wird mit empirischen Ansätzen beschrieben. Das berechnete Verschleißbild stimmt sehr gut mit dem Verschleißbild am Hochofen überein. Die Zwiebelbildung konnte damit quantifiziert und die Ringströmung als ihre Ursache bestätigt werden. Der Verschleiß bei einem schwimmenden Toten Mann wie auch zwischen den Abstichen ist vernachlässigbar. Durch Erhöhung der Ofenleistung kann sich der Verschleiß wesentlich erhöhen. Bei Erhöhung der Durchlässigkeit des Toten Mannes hingegen ist eine Reduzierung der Zwiebelbildung zu erwarten." @default.
