The MTWAL is the first proof-of-concept laboratory by WiMAX Forum in the world. In the next two years, the project of MTWAL will deploy 15 mobile WiMAX base stations in ”Large Hsinchu Science Park,” including ITRI, Hsinchu Science Park, National Tsing-Hua University, and National Chiao-Tung University. In this article, we introduce the network architecture of ITRI WiMAX and describe the progress of the MTWAL project.
