- W2498130145 abstract "Our genomes have been sculpted by molecular battles and negotiations for symbiosis to respond to constant threats in the environment in order to build a plethora of ingenious and spontaneous adaptive mechanisms that culminate in our biological destinies. The immune response is a coordinated response to organisms or to some of its components; macromolecules, and chemical compounds, regardless of the consequences to this response. Under some circumstances, these responses may become damaging to human tissues and to the overall homeostasis. It is within this context, that the activation of processes and structures of the innate and acquired immune responses may overlap between noninfectious and infectious situations. In fact, the distinction of infection and inflammation is often blurred clinically. However, from a deterministic understanding of our biological existence, this interdependence between microorganisms and the inflammatory response offers a window of opportunity to appreciate the unending dynamic transformations of our evolutionary paths. All of these vibrant interactions take place in the setting of achieving successful reproduction and survival of the human species. These highly sophisticated processes influence every single step of the more homogeneous inflammatory (innate immune response) to the rolling and heterogeneous adaptive acquired immune response: from the activation of specific cell membrane receptors, to intracellular signalling driving activation of key cells, and culminating in the inflammatory cytokine cascade that orchestrates and synergized the humoral and cellular immune responses." @default.
