- W2499239222 abstract "The trigeminocardiac reflex (TCR) is a well-known neurogenic reflex and is considered one of the most important brain stem reflexes. Within the last 15 years, research on this unique phenomenon has proliferated and a number of papers have explored the future role of the TCR in different aspects of a few surgical procedures. However, it is now time to view this phenomenon in a wider way because it is not limited to just a few surgical procedures; it appears as well as a non-neurosurgical phenomenon. Accordingly, near-future research needs to focus on and explore the role of the TCR in various pathophysiological processes, in functional outcomes in other surgeries, and as a non-surgical phenomenon. A multidisciplinary team approach is the ideal means of exploring the future role of the TCR in both surgical and non-surgical contexts." @default.
