In this paper, various relationships between the MR and soil suction, for both subgrade soils and granular materials, are presented and discussed. In addition, a simple yet reliable approach for predicting the variation of the MR with respect to the soil suction using the Soil-Water Characteristic Curve (SWCC) is introduced.
