- W2509207217 abstract "We report an extremely rare case of benign multicystic mesothelioma (BMM) focusing on fine-needle aspiration cytology (FNAC). A 28-year-old woman undergoing abdominal ultrasonography was found to have a multilocular lesion of the Douglas pouch. FNAC smear results showed numerous sheets of mesothelial-like cells without atypia, together with scattered isolated metaplastic squamous cells with single pyknotic nuclei. These findings yielded a diagnosis of BMM. FNAC smears can thus be made based on laparoscopic findings." @default.
