- W2513446986 abstract "The goal of the research is the analysis of a space where repertoire joins creativity. In particular, songs are considered as a creative area where some bands can reproduce linguistic structures mirroring the current linguistic repertoire. The new musical production, original and modern, is characterized by recurring loans from comics, television, foreign languages, IT and from music itself. Among the groups using these features of giovanilese , we can mention the Boom Da Bash , a band from Salento whose originality consists in the strong mixing of different systems in order to create texts of protest and civil commitment. In the musical works of this band the role of Italian, of dialect and of foreign languages (English and Creole specifically), along with frequent code mixing, is that to convey ideological and identity contents and to give expressive strength to the texts. The Boom Da Bash are partially rooted in the geolinguistic area they belong to and their feeling of social reaction determines the writing of texts which can combine local and global, focusing on dialect and on language contact as expressive resources with a great potentiality. Actually, this creative use of the systems involved can be useful for the development of the linguistic competences of young speakers." @default.
