• W2513679290 abstract "본 연구는 교육청 부설 영재 교육 기관에서 과학 영재 학생들을 수년간 가르쳐온 12명의 과학 교사를 대상으로, 이들이 현장경험을 통해 어떠한 교수방법을 효과적으로 인식하고 있는지를 탐색하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 4년~11년의 영재 교육 경력을 지닌 교사들을 섭외하여, 이들과 2회에 걸쳐 개별 심층면담을 진행하였다. 연구 결과, 영재 담당 교사들은 영재 교육 활동을 통해서 과학 영재들의 특성에 대한 일부 선입견이나 부정적 편견이 줄어들었으며, 영재 학생들이 일반 학생들과 다른 점에 대해 주목하기 시작하였음을 알 수 있었다. 참여 교사들은 영재 학생들을 똑똑하기 보다는 잠재적 성장과 발전의 가능성을 지닌 학생들로 인지하였으며, 학생들의 지적 호기심이나 수행의지, 과제 집중력, 창의성 등의 특성이 발휘될 수 있는 수업을 구상하기 위해 노력해왔음이 드러났다. 이러한 관점에서 연구 참여 교사들은 탐구하는 과정과 방법에 대한 경험의 제공, 모둠 활동을 통한 리더십과 의사소통, 배려하는 능력의 함양, 창의적이고 융합적인 사고방식을 키우고 나아가 이공계 진로 진출을 고려한 진로 탐색의 기회를 주는 교수를 효과적으로 인식하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과는 영재 교육 초임교사나 새로운 교수법을 모색하는 교사들에게 많은 시사점을 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. The purpose of study was to explore science teachers' practical knowledge on teaching the gifted in science; namely, what kinds of instructional methods did they perceive as effective approaches based on their teaching experience with the gifted? Twelve science teachers who had 4-11 years of teaching experiences with the gifted students at the gifted center under the local educational offices participated in the study. The data source included in-depth individual interviews with the teachers. In results, the teachers became more aware of the academic potentials and characteristics of the students and had made efforts to develop their instructional methods more fitting to the characteristics and needs of the gifted. They emphasized four instructional aspects: 1) experience of authentic inquiry process and methods, 2) group activities focusing on leadership, communication and collaboration, and empathetic attitudes, 3) tasks promoting creative and convergent thinking, and 4) career awareness in the field of science, technology, and engineering.
