ABSTRACT Glycemic design for verification of glucose uptake after different strength training: Maximum Strength versus Strength ResistanceThe aim of this study was to analyze the blood glucose after two strength training; hypertrophy training or maximum strength and strength resistance training; to verify the elimination of glucose up to 80 minutes after training, being directly linked to insulin response. Was conducted with a sample of eight active and healthy women a maximum strength training. After a month, was held with the same, a strength resistance training. Capillary Glycemia was collected, before training, after training and 10, 15, 20, 40, 60 and 80 minutes after ingestion of 75 grams of dextrose. The test was also applied in the absence of exercise in the third month. Also collected to data control; age, height, weight and phase of the menstrual cycle of each sample. For analysis of the sample data, used, mean, standard deviation and coefficient of variation; while for analysis of data collected with the application of the tests, was also used, the hypothesis test, adopting p ≤ 0.05. Obtained after training, mean of free glucose uptake, equivalent of 9,625mg / dL (p = 0.8283) in strength resistance training and 0.625 mg / dL (p = 0.7930) in maximum strength training; 26.9% and 1.75% higher, respectively, when compared to uptake in repose. The two trainings indicate suggestive improvement in elimination of circulating glucose. The strength resistance training had uptake of 25.17% more compared to the maximum strength training; however, any of the training, did not show significant results compared to the repose; accusing P˃0.05." @default.
