While other management methods have different side effects on the environment and human health there is a need of ecofriendly methods to manage the pests with this background the present investigation entitled “Eco-friendly management of pulse beetle, Callosobruchus chinensis L. (Coleoptera: Bruchidae) through bio pesticides in different pulses” was undertaken in the AICRP on Biological Control, Agricultural research institute, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad during 2013-2014. The results showed that, in Redgram WP formulation of B. thuringiensis showed highest per cent adult mortality (46.67%) over 72hr after treatment, lowest fecundity (36.33), lowest longevity of females (2.00 days), highest per cent Feeding Index (91.16%), highest Per cent Ovipositional Difference (POD) (86.20%) and highest Economic Ability was observed in WP formulation of M. anisopliae (12.61). Like that among all treatments Oil formulation of V. lecanii is found to be least effective with per cent adult mortality (25.00%), highest fecundity (115.33), longest life span of females and males (6.00 days), lowest per cent FI (62.76%) and least POD (56.10%). In Blackgram, WP formulation of B. thuringiensis was found to be the best treatment causing highest per cent adult mortality (41.67%) over 72hr after treatment, lowest fecundity (36.33), lowest longevity of females and males (1.67 days, 2.00 days), highest per cent Feeding Index (89.44%), highest Per cent Ovipositional Difference (POD) (85.78%) and highest Economic Ability was observed in WP formulation of M. anisopliae (13.28).
