- W2530189675 abstract "Entrepreneurship Education (EEd) was introduced in Nigerian universities as a compulsory course for more than half a decade now. It was hoped that this would make graduates employable and job creators, reduce unemployment rate and increase productivity through enhancing undergraduates’ entrepreneurial skills. However, after nine years of implementation, university graduates were still seeking for jobs instead of creating jobs as expected and unemployment was still rising among graduates. The effectiveness of the EEd policy in the Nigerian universities was therefore questioned. The purpose of the study was to examine the impact of EEd on enhancement of entrepreneurial skills of undergraduates in south-eastern universities. Four research questions and two null hypotheses guided the study. Descriptive survey design was deployed in the study. The Entrepreneurship Education and the Enhancement of Entrepreneurial Skills Questionnaire (EEdEESQ) was used as instrument. Mean and Standard Deviation were used to answer the four research questions while t-test was used to analyze the null hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. Findings of the study revealed that EEd inculcated entrepreneurial skills in undergraduates only to a little extent; EEd best practice pedagogies were used also to a very little extent. It was recommended that appropriate pedagogies should be used in delivering EEd; and those facilities should be made available for EEd delivery while the EEd contents should be derived from industrial and market requirements ." @default.
