The Ni-based amorphous powders and Cu added composite powders were compacted by a simple die hot press and a spark plasma sintering (SPS) processes into cylindrical. In the hot press, the prepared powders were pressed at 570degC (in the at T <sub xmlns:mml=http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML xmlns:xlink=http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink>g</sub> -T <sub xmlns:mml=http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML xmlns:xlink=http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink>x</sub> range) to avoid the crystallization. However, the compacted samples did not reach the theoretical density. At the 900degC, we could get the full densified specimens, but the crystallization of the samples happened. The relative density increased from 79% to 98% when the pressure increased up to 350 MPa by optimum control of the SPS process parameters. The micro-Vickers hardness was also increased from 774 Hv to 810 Hv with increasing temperature from 450degC to 460degC." @default.
