- W2549858656 abstract "The masonery was born in Europe during the XVIIIth century. First, space of filosofical sociability, it meets, in a second time, a great success inside the armies as a society of mutual help on the battle fields. In this sense, masonery is quiet developed in the revolucionary and imperial french armies. Napoleon transforms it in a truely institution in order to support his regime. The comeback of the european monarquies means the control, almost the prohibition, of masonic debates in the old continent. Since then, part of the masones enters in politics. This intense movement occurs in a quite wide political convulsion during the first years of the Restauration. In the same time, several faraway wars develop themselves as, for example, the southamerican independences and the war of Greece. One can see that men, particularly napoleonic veterans, travel from one movement to another. We will, then, try to show the relations between these diferent events and the place of masonery in this time." @default.
