At the same time, while the U.S. Attorneys Office recommends against enforcing the Controlled Substance Act with regard to medical marijuana, several state courts have ruled that medical marijuana laws do not apply to adverse employment decisions. Most employers disqualify applicants for current use of marijuana with no medical exemption.
