- W2552761738 abstract "Human and animal mycoses become more frequent and more resistant to traditional treatments. In this work, we tested the in vitro antifungal activity of acetonic extracts of Punica granatum L., Quercus suber L. and Vicia faba L. against seven pathogen fungi and the in vivo antifungal activity against Candida albicans and Trichophyton mentagrophytes. The phytochemical screening was also carried out and showed that the extracts contained mainly proanthocyanidins. Other polyphenols were also present but in low quantity. The acetone extract of V. faba L. gave a good in vitro inhibition of yeasts and was the most active for treating candidiasis in mice. It decreased the percentage of mortality with only 20 μg. But the in vivo antifungal activity of this extract on T. mentagrophytes was low. It only showed a small diminution of crusting and erythema after the administration of 100 μg. On the contrary, the acetone extracts of P. granatum L. had a poor activity against yeasts and a better one against moulds. It gave the best in vivo antifungal activity against T. mentagrophytes by healing animals with 40 μg. The extract of P. granatum L. gave also an interesting in vivo antifungal activity against T. mentagrophytes with an active dose of 80 μg. Les mycoses humaines et animales sont devenues très fréquentes et plus résistantes aux traitements traditionnels. Dans ce travail, nous avons testé l’activité antifongique in vitro des extraits acétoniques de Punica granatum L., Quercus suber L. et Vicia faba L. contre sept champignons pathogènes, puis nous les avons testés in vivo contre Candida albicans et Trichophyton mentagrophytes. Le screening phytochimique des extraits a été réalisé et a démontré que les extraits acétoniques des trois plantes contenaient principalement des proanthocyanidines. D’autres polyphénols ont aussi été retrouvés mais en faible quantité. L’extrait acétonique de V. faba L. a donné une bonne inhibition in vitro des levures et était le plus actif pour traiter la candidose chez les souris. Il a diminué le pourcentage de mortalité avec 20 μg seulement. Mais l’activité antifongique in vivo de cet extrait sur T. mentagrophytes était faible. Il a montré une faible diminution de la formation de croûtes et des érythèmes après l’administration de 100 μg. Au contraire, l’extrait acétonique de P. granatum L. avait une faible activité contre les levures mais une meilleure action sur les moisissures. Il a apporté la meilleure activité antifongique in vivo contre T. mentagrophytes en guérissant les animaux avec 40 μg. L’extrait de Q. suber L. avait aussi une bonne activité antifongique in vivo contre T. mentagrophytes avec une dose active de 80 μg." @default.
