- W2560295612 abstract "The current Brazilian energy situation, facing a dry period and having its main energy matrix based on hydroelectricity, brings up the necessity to review the use of natural resources available. This study focused on the end use of electricity (demand), and analysed the energy consumption of a lighting system from a floor of a Police Station building of Receita Federal do Brasil (Internal Revenue Service of Brazil), located in the city of Londrina. The choice was motivated by a Legal Federal Instruction, published in Diario Oficial da Uniao, which requires the classification of federal buildings in the National Labelling Programme for Buildings in case of reconstruction or retrofit. It was observed that the building conditions did not meet the standard requirements for lighting in the workplace, and it was impossible to classify the area in any of the standard levels of energy efficiency (EE). Due to nonconformities, the replacement of existing fluorescent lamps for LEDs was suggested using the DIALux® simulation software. The proposed solution was economically feasible, met the standard and respected the EE classification rules, reaching level A." @default.
