- W2560916932 abstract "An effective-field theory is proposed to study magnetic properties of a nanoribbon. The model consists of a core spin-3/2 and shell spin-2 with a ferrimagnetic exchange coupling, which is described by transverse Ising model with the anisotropy. Based on the differential operator technique, the magnetization and the susceptibility formulas of the nanoribbon are given. Numerical results of the magnetization, the susceptibility, the hysteresis loop of the system are discussed for specific values of the parameters. Magnetization plateaus exhibits on the magnetization curves at low temperature. The exchange coupling, the anisotropy and the transverse field have important roles in the magnetic properties for the nanoribbon. Results may provide some guidance to design in the nanoribbons." @default.
