- W2562195907 abstract "The problem of mass and classic literature still raises many questions among theorists of literature. In modern literature, these concepts are not only opposed to each other, but also interact. This tendency is realized in literature remakes, the example of which is “The Stars’ tennis balls” by Stephen Fry. The following article is dedicated to the analysis of this novel from the point of trivial and elite literature. The writer cleverly combines the allusions of many classical books, philosophical doctrines that makes his novel different from typical mass books. He does not just retell the original text but interprets it in his own way or in other words “translates the classic into the literature of modern epoch”. To sum up, the novel of Stephen Fry illustrates an interesting literature game, which characterizes the whole postmodern literature." @default.
