• W2564885736 abstract "Objective:With the popularity of endoscope, case reports of duodenal varice increased year by year. Based on both literature and our experience from diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal varices, a new typing classi cation of gastrointestinal varicose was introduced and applied to the typing of duodenal found. The etiological and endoscopic treatment of duodenal varice will be discussed. Method: From November 2000 to August 2008, 85 495 cases (excluding varicosis of esophagus and found gastric) of ordinary upper gastrodoudenal endoscopy were analyzed and 8 cases of duodenal varicosis were found; 7788 cases of esophageal and gastric varicose were given endoscope examination and treatment as well as duodenal examination, and 16 cases of duodenal varicosis were found. Among the 26 cases, there are 19 female and 7 male with the age ranging from 19 to 74 and its average 46.1 years. All the cases of duodenal varicosis were found during endoscopic examination or those cannot be diagnosed by ordinary endoscope were con rmed by EUS. The 26 cases were typed by LDRf (L, Location; D, Diameter; Rf, Risk factor) classification method and their etiology, examinations and treatment methods were analyzed. Results:(1)Classi cation of duodenal varices by endoscope Ld1(5 cases,19.2%),Ld1,2(2 cases,7.7%),Ld2(19 cases,73.1%);D0(0 case),D0.3(2 cases),D1(10 cases),D2(13 cases),D3(1cases);Rf0(0 cases),Rf1(0cases),Rf2(4 cases)(.2)Etiological factor Hepatitis B-related liver cirrhosis 8 cases (47.1%),hepatitis C-related liver cirrhosis 1 case (5.9%),hepatitis autoimmune disease cirrhosis 3 cases(17.6%),portal sponge-like degeneration 2 cases(11.8%),unexplained liver cirrhosis 1 case(5.9%),HCC 1 case(5.9%) ,unexplained duodenal varices 1 case(5.9%).4 cases (23.5%)were splenectomized among 17 hospitalization patients(.3)Therapeutic methods of endoscope and follow up: the methods of 4 cases who were treated under endoscope was 2 of them tissue glue,1 sclerosing agent injection and 1 banding ligation.The 4 cases varicosis were vanish by follow up of endoscope at 2 13 months after treatment. 2 of 9 cases were die with other reasons during follow up. Conclusion: Not only this classi cation is brief and clear, clarify catchy, normative, operative easily and uni ed, but also it can guide varicose vein's therapy. However we need further research necessary in practice. Duodenum varicose vein's endosopic therapy (sclerosing agent injection, tissue adhesive injection , banding ligation) is e ective, but it's correlative factors of effective power and complication also need further research of large sample for long time ." @default.
