Flexible Alternate Current Transmission System plays a major role to overcome the power quality problems. Power quality problem is great issue with the increasing of wind penetration in power system. Among the power quality problem voltage sag is one of the most challenging problem faced by power system engineers. These voltage fluctuations can be eliminated with the help of advanced reactive power compensator SVC. The controller is designed based on Synchronous Reference Frame theory. The performance is analyzed with the help of PI controller and Fuzzy logic technique. The simulation studies have demonstrated the effective influences of the SVC on the improvement of voltage profile during the penetration of wind power in power grid using MATLAB simulink. It also shows that fuzzy logic controller gives better result when compared to PI controller." @default.
