The control mechanism includes speed controller in the outer loop, current controller in the inner loop, intelligent selection of turn on and turn off angle for a 60 kW, 3-phase 6/8 SRM. It is noticed that the torque ripple coefficient, ISE of speed & current are reduced by 10.43%, 36.53%, 16.01% respectively by MOL algorithm compared to gravitational search algorithm (GSA) algorithm. It is also observed that the settling times in torque, speed and current are reduced by 42%, 45.65% and 47.91% by proposed MOL algorithm compared to the GSA algorithm." @default.
