- W2591330602 abstract "Objective To explore the relationship between CYP1A1,GSTM1 gene polymorphisms and genetic susceptibility to prostate cancer. Methods In this study,83 prostate cancer patients and 115 age matched healthy controls were enrolled.All DNA samples from peripheral blood were genotyped for genetic polymorphisms of CYP1A1 and GSTM1 genes by genechip technique. Results There was a significant difference in the frequency of GSTM1 null genotype between prostate cancer cases (57.8%)and healthy controls(41.7%)(χ 2=4.99, P =0.025).Individuals with the GSTM1 null genotype demonstrated increased risk(OR=1.9,95%CI=1.10～1.34). The prostate cancer patients with GSTM1 null genotype had lower onset age (mean,68.1±8.3 years) than those with GSTM1 genotype (mean, 71.9±7.4 years)( P =0.031).There was no significant difference in the frequency distribution of two locations of CYP1A1 polymorphisms between prostate cancer patients and healthy controls( P 0.05). Conclusions GSTM1 (0/0) gene polymorphism may be linked to prostate cancer risk and early onset age in Chinese men.There is no significant association between CYP1A1 gene polymorphisms (m1 and m2 genotypes) and prostate cancer risk." @default.
