AbstractThis theoretical review’s work means to provide an actual view about an emergent phenomenon of the 21st Century: Information and Communications Technology (ICT),  into the context of problematic Social Networking Service use (SNS). It has been considered risk factors which affect the vulnerability to develop this disorder such as lack of social skills, social anxiety (SA), low self-esteem (SE) and five personality traits. The results revealed that those digital natives who have lack of social skills, SA, and low SE prefer online social interaction to satisfy their psychosocial needs and present risks of negative interference in their daily lives. Regarding netizens with social anxiety and deficit HH.SS. SRS express a preference for reasons of self-presentation and characteristic compensation of the need for acceptance and belonging to a group. There are still many inconsistencies in the association between pathological use of SRS and the investigated variables, hence the convenience to deepen their comprehensive study." @default.
