Rezultati pokazuju da, u usporedbi s ucenicima losijeg uspjeha, ucenici boljeg uspjeha imaju bolju sliku o sebi, rjeđe pribjegavaju defanzivnim strategijama ucenja, a cesce koriste metakognitivne vjestine. Nisu nađene razlike u sklonosti dubinskom procesiranju i strategijama poticanja ucenja među ucenicima odlicnog i vrlo dobrog uspjeha. Nalazi se razmatraju u kontekstu potrebe da se ucenicima losijeg uspjeha pruži kvalitetnija podrska kako bi razvili pozitivnija ocekivanja vezana uz vlastito ucenje i ovladali proaktivnim strategijama ucenja. (IN ENGLISH: The purpose of the study was to analyse the differences in the aspects of academic self-concept (Marsh, 1990) and the use of cognitive and motivational learning strategies (Loncaric, 2014a) among students of different school achievement. The research sample included the eighth form primary school pupils from Zagreb and Zagreb county (N = 589). The findings suggest that students with higher achievement, compared to the students with the lower one, have better image of themselves, less frequently use defensive learning strategies and more often use metacognitive skills. The differences among students with excellent and very good achievement in tendencies towards deep processing and self-encouragement for learning were not found. The findings indicate the need to provide low-achievers with better support aimed at developing more positive expectations about their own learning and mastering proactive learning strategies.)" @default.
