- W2606023360 abstract "Here we present complex comparison of several approachessuggested for further in-situ LIBS analysis of liquidsuspensions. The in-situ LIBS analysis of suspensions is stilla challenging task due to complications related to poorshot-to-shot repeatability when compared to the LIBS analysisof solids. This is attributed mainly to laser-matter couplingand instability of analyzed liquid surface position, andpartially to sample inhomogeneity. There are several approachesconventionally used for direct analyses of suspensions such asthe analysis of static liquid bulk, liquid jet, droplets, oraerosols. These approaches enable direct analysis applicable toe.g. online monitoring of industrial processes, analysis ofcontaminated waters etc., but they suffer mainly from highfluctuations in detected signal and moderate limits ofdetection. Additionally, indirect way of suspensions analysiscan be done after drying and/or deposition on a filter. In thisstudy the optimization of most feasible methodological approachwas based on following significant parameters: volume ofsuspension needed for the analysis, limits of detection (inrespect to selected toxic and heavy metals), repeatability ofshot-to-shot analysis (relative standard deviation), samplepreparation time, and total time of analysis." @default.
