Based on the proposed method, a set of equivalent criteria is developed to determine whether the simplest and the most widely used PV/PQ equivalence is still appropriate. Based on the proposed equivalent method and criteria, we establish a new equivalent optimal reactive power flow model, which can achieve high calculation accuracy for interconnected power systems.
