- W2612463164 abstract "The purpose of our study was to examine the chronic pelvic pain(CPP) and chronic anxiety as a psychosomatic gynecological syndrome, And in this study, we describe psychosomatic, sexual and social problem of sexual assault. Especially anxiety and chronic pelvic pain as a post traumatic stress disorder(PTSD). PTSD is an anxiety disorder that can develop after exposure to a terrifying event or ordeal in which grave physical harm occurred or was threatened. While CPP is a common gynecological problem which is poorly understood. CPP may be a symptom of a wide spectrum of disorders, both organic and psychological. Such CPP is related with sexual assault. Sexual assault is highly prevalent although barely visible in most countries. While its prevention is a task of the whole society, the care of the women who suffer sexual violence, from immediate assistance to treatment of its consequences, is a responsibility of obstetricians and gynecologists. Women who reported sexual trauma were significantly more likely to exhibit psychopathology than controls. Being sexually victimized in childhood and raped in adulthood was associated with a particular risk for substance dependence. In the clinical course like that about chronic pelvic pain, sexual assault victims have difficulty in talking about the traumatic experience, so clinicians should pay attention to these findings in developing therapeutic plans for the victims. Sexual assault history is an important predictive factors of CPP. In Ob&Gy clinical practice of the T.K.M, Uljeung(鬱證), Simgye(心悸), Jungchung(??), lower abdominal pain syndrome and back pain syndrome are correlated to chronic pelvic pain which produced by sexual trauma. The therapeutic approaches for this symptom contain teaching pain relaxation technique, stress management, pain behavior modification, promote wellness(eating and nutrition, sleep hygiene, physical exercise) and treatment of psychological morbidity(depression and anxiety)." @default.
