- W261501015 abstract "Studies show that enterprise computerised integration faces complex organisational, technical, and social shortcomings. One of these shortcomings is CAPP (Computer Aided Process Planning) considered one of the most important and most complicated computer aided systems. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to explore the extended engineering requirements for a CAPP system that, by their consideration, can lead to its effective and successful integration into a manufacturing enterprise computerised system. Based on the paper's qualitative findings supported by authorities, evidence, or logic, essentially, it is argued that CAPP engineering requirements should also consider and incorporate requirements from other directly relevant disciplines that finally will result in a better CAPP system and lead to better enterprise computerised integration. This also leads to the need for a multi-perspective research approach for solving enterprise computerised integration problems." @default.
