- W2616407978 abstract "1763 Objectives 15O-H2O is known an ideal positron emission tomography (PET) tracer for quantification of myocardial blood flow (MBF). The quantification of coronary flow reserve (CFR) calculated as the ratio of the MBF during ATP stress to MBF at rest is a useful method for evaluating functional severity of coronary artery disease. The shorter the acquisition time is, the less the side effects of ATP stress such as palpitation nausea, in addition body motion artifact. The purpose of the present study was to assess the possibility to quantify of MBF and CFR with a shorter scan time of 15O-H2O PET. Methods Sixteen patients with coronary artery disease (CAD; 8 males; age, 59.94 ± 11.10 years) and twenty healthy volunteers (20 males; age, 28.75 ± 11.66 years) underwent the rest and ATP stress dynamic 15O-H2O PET scans by 2D list mode. The values of MBF were estimated with a one-tissue compartment model analysis. MBF and CFR were calculated using first 3-min PET data, and compared to the findings with all the data of 6-min PET scan as the gold standard. Results In the visual assessment, the regions of interest (ROIs) in the left ventricle (LV) chamber and myocardium could be set for all of the subjects even the data of 3-min scan. The values of MBF and CFR both in patients and volunteers showed no significant difference between 3-min and 6-min data (table). The CFR of patients was significantly lower than that of volunteers for the 3-min data (2.48±1.21 vs. 3.75±1.56, p Conclusions A 3-min shorter scan of 15O-H2O PET can be used for the quantitative evaluation of MBF and CFR." @default.
