- W2620851903 abstract "A survey on the notion of hierarchy covers a large scope of fundamental sources. Cultural, religious and philosophical contexts have used it since ancient times as a concept essential for civilization. There it comprises also forms, like structure and process, which are tom apart in modern times. The author expresses bewildering over the way the richness of images has been abandoned for the sake of an “exactness” by scientific restrictions dissipating it into 5 groups of incompatible concepts. On the basis of this broader revised concept she has constructed a method for analysis and synthesis of hierarchies and networks revealing a higher extent of compatibility and permitting to control and model the skeleton structures of complex Objects. The main postulates are shown on examples from modern biology and chemistry. The revised concept of hierarchy in the context of psychology and sociology offers ways to avoid local wars during the transition of the social system in the early 1990-es. The author illuminates the guidelines for conflict prevention and resolving which result from the shift of process control towards decentralization of decision making, distributed responsibilities, networking, autonomy of management, striving for autonomy in general and others" @default.
