In this chapter, we focus on how the orientation of semiconducting polymer backbones is influenced by the chemical structures, such as backbone regularity, polymer main chain geometry, backbone coplanarity, molecular weight, heteroatoms, and side chains. A detailed analysis of the polymer thin films has been conducted by various techniques, especially including two-dimensional grazing incidence X-ray diffraction measurements, and there is now a clear correlation between the polymer orientation and electronic device performances." @default.
