Three Hundred and Twenty Seven higher secondary teachers from Vellore District in Tamil Nadu were chosen as sample, by using Simple Random Sampling Technique and administered with an Occupational Stress Rating Scale. The statistical techniques employed were percentage, mean, SD, mean ± 1SD, t-test, F-test, and stepwise multiple regression analysis and the obtained results are analyzed accordingly. To overcome occupational stress, the researchers have suggested some measures which could prove beneficial to teachers in coping with stress are: improve self esteem, build self confidence, work on building emotional intelligence competencies, develop a good sense of humour, practice yoga and meditation, exercise regularly, foster a supportive friend circle, cultivate hobbies, develop effective communication skills, and seek professional help, if necessary." @default.
