Pt [email protected]f-MWCNT nanocomposites was easily and efficiently prepared by using the microwave assistance method. The data displays that the synthesis method is very effective for monodispersion of Pt NPs on functionalized multi walled carbon nanotubes. The morphological characterization of Pt [email protected]f-MWCNT was fully characterized by employing several techniques such as XRD, TEM, HR-TEM, Raman and XPS methods. Monodisperse Pt [email protected]f-MWCNT-CE (as a counter electrode) exhibits the higher short-circuit current density (JSC) and power-conversion efficiency (η) (18.59±0.77mAcm−2 and 8.31±0.19%, respectively), while the corresponding values for a bare Pt-CE is (15.92±0.24mAcm−2 and 6.59±0.12%, respectively) for a DSSC. The electro-catalytic performance of Pt [email protected]f-MWCNT has been also assessed by using cyclic voltammetry (CV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) measurements." @default.
