- W2736191509 abstract "Modern wind energy systems require power electronic converters to control its rotational speed in order to extract the maximum power from the wind. These converters can provide additional services if they are properly controlled. This paper presents a strategy for wind energy systems which simultaneously allows compensation of reactive power, negative sequence voltages and harmonics currents. This compensation is based on mathematical optimization on the ABC reference frame. Different wind turbines can interact using the proposed approach even without communication. Results demonstrates the practical applicability of the proposed strategy. It is tested under different conditions considering different type of loads and variations on the wind velocity." @default.
