• W2739125615 abstract "This study examined the Strategies for Improving Business Education Resources in Colleges of Education in Delta State Nigeria. Four research questions and four hypotheses guided the study. Survey research design was used in this study. The population of the study was 133 Business Education lecturers from the four Colleges of Education in Delta State. Stratified sampling technique was used to select 67 Business Education lecturers which represent 50% of the entire population based on strata (i.e. 50% of Business Education lecturers from Federal (32) and State Colleges of Education (35) respectively. The instrument for data collection was a 4-point scale questionnaire titled ‘Strategies for Improving Business Education Resources Questionnaire SIBERQ’. The questionnaire was validated by 3 lecturers from Delta State University, Abraka. To ascertain the reliability of the SIBERQ, 20 copies were administered to Business Education Lecturers from Delta State University, Ambrose Ali University, and University of Benin, data collected were analysed using Cronbach Alpha technique which yielded a reliability coefficient of 0.72. Data were collected from Business Education lecturers from the four Colleges of Education through the administration of questionnaire by 2 research assistants, data collected were analysed using mean for research questions and t-test for testing the hypotheses. Based on the findings from the study, it was concluded that, in the face of economic recession, other alternative such as IGR, partnerships, and loans from banking institutions should be used to fund Business Education programmes which will help improve human and material resources for the implementation of Business Education Programme in tertiary institutions in Nigeria. Hence, it was recommended amongst others that government should create the synergy for collaboration between tertiary institutions and stakeholders such as banks, industries, international organizations, and community leaders. As well, school administrators should establish relationship with all stakeholders for the purpose of improving educational resources." @default.
