- W27416312 abstract "ABSTRACT The isolated perfused rat kidney, whose vascular bed has been constricted by Prostaglandin F 2 alpha, was used for measuring the pD 2 values of 5 dopaminomimetic drugs. As for their affinity, these drugs can be classified as follows: bromocriptine = dopamine > apomorphine > tetrahydropapaveroline> dihydroxy phenylamino imidazoline. Haloperidol shifts to the right the dose-relaxation curve for dopamine; its apparent pA 2 = 5.55. Catecholamine release during electrical stimulation of the vascular pedicle of the isolated perfused rat kidney was measured by mass fragmentography. For high frequency stimulation, the quantity of dopamine can reach 28% of the quantity of noradrenaline released. Renal nerve stimulation in anaesthetized dogs pretreated with phenoxybenzamine and indomethacin induced a weak renal vasodilation. These results support the presence of dopamine receptors in the renal vascular bed and are compatible with a role of endogenous dopamine in controlling the renal function." @default.
