In the larger S range, the Al-Si alloy-graphite composite (Al-Gr MMC) shows lower friction coefficients that those of alumina short fiber-reinforced composite (AFRMMC) and hollow silica particle-reinforced composite (SPRMMC). Although eh wear rate of the Al-Gr MMC is higher than that of the AFRMMC and SPRMMC, the composite causes no damage to the mating material due to adhesion of compacted graphite films." @default.
