- W2744333308 abstract "This paper starts from the genesis of the idea of teaching integration. There are relevant understandings of connecting contents of different subjects presented and these are integrated curriculum, thematic planning, as well about integration of teaching and learning as a feature of new teaching paradigm. We are pointing at the results of cognitive readiness of students of lower school age to form basic social terms and to stress the significance of integrated approach to this process. We are discussing models of interactive forms of work in processing social contents which provoke critical thinking, research and studying information, comparison of different approaches, forming acceptable solutions and making mutual decisions. There were new approaches to knowledge gaining analysed about distant past, which support development of skills of revealing and interpreting historical sources and historical way of thinking. In the final part of the paper, we are giving methodological analysis of integration of teaching and learning in the context of a teaching unit. Significant person from my place (Natural and Social Sciences for the third grade) in which students research historical sources, present information and simulate interesting moments from life of the historical personalities construct the whole picture of life in the past." @default.
