- W2745228367 abstract "In this paper an analytical model is presented to demonstrate the performance of a dual wound three phase surface permanent magnet synchronous machine. In addition to normal operating conditions, the model is extended to explain various fault scenarios of the machine. Self and mutual inductances of a dual wound machine with double layer winding are analytically calculated from winding function and slot permeance. These inductances are then utilized for developing machine models, and determining the machine performance through the electromagnetic torque response. The developed analytical model is validated by comparing with finite element analysis results. Two dual wound topologies of a motor with 12 stator slots and 8 rotor poles are used for validating the proposed analytical model." @default.
