Aliran cenderung terdefleksi dengan sangat cepat menujuupperside yang seakan-akan menerima sudut serang positifsehingga menggeser posisi titik minimum pressure lebih kedepan.Pada akhirnya, separasi di rear end pun lebih cepat terjadi..Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metodenumerik (CFD) dengan software Fluent 14.0, karena metodenumerik dapat menampilkan hasil observasi dan visualisasi yangmendetail. Pemilihan kondisi simulasi digunakan modelturbulensi k-e realizable. Rasio ground clearance terhadappanjang model (c/l) 0.038, ReL = 1.9775 x 106, boundarycondition untuk outlet adalah pressure outlet dan untuk inletadalah velocity inlet sebesar 11,11 m/s.Dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat dipelajarikarakteristik aliran dua dimensi dan tiga dimensi disekitar modelsapuangin 8 urban concept dengan pengaruh rasio groundclearance terhadap panjang model(c/l) sebesar 0,038. Hasil postprocessing kuantitatif yang didapatkan berupa distribusikoefisien tekanan, serta koefisien drag dan koefisisen lift. Darihasil post processing menunjukan bahwa bodi sapuangin 8 urbanconcept terbukti sangat aerodinamis dengan memiliki nilaikoefisien drag (CD) sebesar 0,17 dan koefisien lift (CL) sebesar−0,0582.=====================================================================================================The car of sapuangin is the future prototype car with ecofriendlyconcept one of optimize is aerodynamics, where thegeometry of this vehicle has been designed very streamlined.
