- W2750711195 abstract "Since 1924 when the first rabbit-ear transparent chamber model was introduced, many other chamber models have been described. The chamber is composed of a disk with a central round table, three peripheral pillars, a cover plate, and a holder ring. Four holes are punched through the ear cartilage and skin with a special puncher. The four holes consist of three outer perforations and a central puncture that incorporate the transparent window. One of the major strengths of chamber models is the possibility of monitoring angiogenesis in vivo continuously for up to several weeks. At the end of experiments, tissue samples can be excised and further examined for histology, immunohistochemistry, and molecular biology." @default.
