- W2751159307 abstract "MXene, which is a new kind of two-dimensional transition metal carbide or carbonitride, has a wide range of applications in supercapacitors, lithium-ion batteries, and lithium-sulfur batteries. MXene is prepared by acid etching a MAX phase, and then nanocomposites of MoS2 decorated on Ti3C2 MXene (MoS2@Ti3C2) are synthesized using a simple solid state sintering method. The electrochemical properties of the MoS2@Ti3C2 nanocomposites were investigated to assess the use of these nanocomposites as anode materials for lithium-ion batteries. The MoS2@Ti3C2 nanocomposites have a reversible discharge capacity of 131.6 mAh g−1 at a current density of 1000 mA g−1 for 200 cycles, significantly higher than that of pure Ti3C2 and MoS2, which is 58 mAh g−1 and 3.6 mAh g−1. The MoS2@Ti3C2 nanocomposites exhibit excellent cycling stability. The better electrochemical performance is attributed to the MoS2 nanoparticles grown on the layer of MXene, which shortens the charge transfer distance and improves the charge transfer rate during the electrochemical reaction." @default.
