- W2752540208 abstract "p-CuO/n-ZnO nanoparticles were prepared by a modified precipitation method. Ethanol solution of zinc sulphateheptahydrate and copper (II) acetate hydrate (Cu (OAc)2•H2O) were used as the precursors. p-CuO/n-ZnO nanoparticles were dried at 80°C for 1 day, followed by the calcination at a temperature of 550°C for 2 h. The 0.10-3.00 wt% CuO was loaded on ZnO nanoparticles by impregnation method. The p-CuO/n-ZnO nanoparticles were analyzed by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy coupled with Energy Dispersive X-Ray Spectroscopy (SEM/EDS), and surface area measurement by N2 adsorption/desorption. The XRD results indicated that the synthesized unloaded ZnO and p-CuO/n-ZnO nanoparticles had the wurtzite structure. The average nanoparticles size was about < 50 nm. SEM images showed that the p-CuO/n-ZnO nanoparticles were of spherical shape." @default.
