- W2758163926 abstract "To validate the accuracy and limitations of the Cyberknife M6 fiducial based Synchrony® Respiratory Tracking for linear and rotational respiratory tumor motions. The synchronized linear and rotational tumor displacement and respiratory motion were simulated using a modified QUASAR™ Respiratory Motion Phantom with a Ball-cube (II) in which six 10-mm gold fiducials are embedded around the target . In each test, four best visualized fiducials were chosen to validate the target tracking model. The maximal motion tracking ranges tested in the Cyberknife M6 were measured directly for the horizontal Y and X linear motions, while the value of vertical Z range was obtained from a combined Z/Y motions. The default maximum values the tracking system can handle are 50mm in the X, Y and Z directions. Similarly, the maximal tracked rotational ranges were directly assessed for the roll and pitch, while the value of yaw rotation was computed from a combined yaw and roll motion. The default maximum values the tracking system can handle are 1.5o, 1.5o and 3.0o in the Pitch, Roll, and Yaw rotations. These limitation tests were redundantly conducted at three different respiration speeds, 10, 20, and 28 cycles per minute. The maximally trackable values reported by the Cyberknife Synchrony software program were compared with physical measurements. The successfully trackable linear motion ranges by the Cyberknife were found to be 41.7mm, 41.5mm & 30.2mm respectively for the X, Y, and Z directions, for which no significance was found with a T-Test as shown in the table (P-value > 0.05) at the three different respiration speeds. The maximum rotational motion ranges which were corrected by the Cyberknife M6 with default uncertainty values were found to be 1.5o 1.5o, and 3.0o respectively for Roll, Pitch & Yaw rotations and for the tests at the three different respirational speeds (P-value > 0.05).
