- W2764186609 abstract "The hydraulic system of an airplane is designed in an integrated form and its subsystems can be configured in different way thus affecting the size of the pumps and the stability of the system itself. In the proposed work, we analysed the dynamic behavior of different configurations of the system in similar operating conditions and we developed new dynamic simulation models (and the related numerical simulation programs) able to analyse the behavior of the complete system in order to evaluate the consequences of the design of a hydraulic system in the operation conditions of an airplane; we took into account the relationship between different choices of design of the power generation/regulation and users in all important aspects for the operation of the complete system. In particular, the present work proposes a new method able to prevent main interactions through the limitation of the speed of the actuation in aiding load conditions and it compares it with another method previously proposed in order to evaluate its performances. The paper compares benefits and shortcomings of the two solutions: the method that employs a nonlinear actuation speed control law that acts in the aiding load conditions and the method that implement a ramp generator in the control law of the critical users. In terms of actuation rate control capability, the cheaper solution is not necessarily the best one. The present work is focused on the considerations about the design activities." @default.
