- W2765103900 abstract "In this paper, the problem of energy efficient power management in wireless powered communication networks (WPCN) is addressed. The key novelty of the introduced approach, towards providing enhanced energy-efficient communication, is the combined consideration of the needs and dependencies in both the wireless energy transfer and wireless information transmission phase. Each user is assumed to be associated with a utility function representing his Quality of Service (QoS) requirements. A distributed power control problem is formulated as a maximization problem of each user’s utility and solved towards determining the optimal customized Power Station’s transmission power, guaranteeing users’ QoS demands’ fulfillment in an energy-efficient manner. Such a combined approach, allows for the efficient adjustment of the users' energy harvesting to the uplink user information transmission, which in turn is translated to additional gains for the Power Station's transmission during the wireless energy transmission phase. A distributed and low complexity Energy Transfer and Transmission Adaptation (ENTRADA) algorithm is introduced towards determining the optimal Power Station’s transmission power. Detailed numerical results and comparative evaluation of the proposed framework against other state of the art approaches are presented demonstrating its operational efficiency and superiority." @default.
