Hasil penelitian menunjukan pentingnya folklore untuk dikedepankan dalam materi pembelajaran Sejarah lokal merupakan sarana untuk pembentukan jati diri bangsa melalui kesadaran sejarah dan kesadaran budaya, juga sebagai pendekatan seorang guru atau pengajar untuk mengenalkan kepada anak didik tentang kearifan-kearifan lokal yang ada di sekitar mereka. Pembelajaran seperti ini akan menjadikan anak didik paham dengan sejarah diri atau lingkungannya, yang bisa menjadikan anak didik peka dengan apa yang terjadi di sekitarnya.Kata-kata kunci: folklore, sejarah lokal, kearifan lokal.Abstract: Folklore as a part of local history is local knowledge which will be able to provide a positive influence for students if the inspiration is explained by the teacher and supported by a creative and innovative materials. This study used qualitative approach. The data collection used observation, interview and enumeration. Finding shows that folklore is important to expose into teaching of local history and to form national identity through historical and cultural awareness, as well as a teacher or teaching approaches to introduce the students on local wisdom that exists around them.
