In this study, it is theorized that individuals with low self-efficacy in work can contribute more to the group or organization, by intensively conducting extra-role behaviors, than their counterparts with high self-efficacy. Low-efficacy individuals are expected to make attempts to relocate their resources into extra-role behaviors such as OCBs from in-role behaviors, at which they perceive relatively disadvantaged. The two-level data generally support the above expectations. In addition, the positive impact of perceived low self- efficacy on OCBs is moderated by individual differences, Neuroticism and bisociative cognitive styles." @default.
