- W2765968375 abstract "Among the foodborne microorganisms, bacteria are the leading reason for serious outbreaks and lead to spread the diseases irrespective of the region. Therefore, immediate detection has become an important issue to stop the spread of the bacterial pathogens before it leads to serious outbreaks. In recent years, rapid advances in complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) technology gained importance as a dominant technology for fabricating microdevices to use in biomedical research and diagnosis. This technology is consistent, manufacturable, requires low power, low cost, and, perhaps most importantly, scalable. In this feature article, we discuss the recent progresses of CMOS image sensors in the detection foodborne bacterial pathogens. In addition, this article presents and discusses trends in designing of CMOS sensors along with the challenges and future prospective of these sensors to detect foodborne bacterial pathogens. In conclusion, these methods of pathogen detection would offer a great commercial advantage than other methods." @default.
